Our Mission
The Napa Valley Broadway Playhouse mission is to provide the greater Napa Valley with professional theatrical entertainment, to use theatre to provoke discussion about important topics and to make theatre accessable to the Napa community, our visitors and audiences of all ages. The NVBPlayhouse also strives to make theatre and performing arts education available to students of all experience and income levels..
NVBPlayhouse History
The Napa Valley Broadway Playhouse was founded in June 2011 with the goal of bringing first class professional theatre to the greater Napa Valley.
Following an exciting partnership production of J oseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Lincoln Theater Napa Valley, the creative team of the production took leap of faith to bring this dream one step closer, creating a new organization entirely dedicated to this mission. With a generous grant from the Gasser Foundation, the corporation was formed and the movement began. Now as a federally approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization, NVBPlayhouse is raising revenue to produce its first season set to include a mainstage Broadway style production and an Educational Series for community youth.
Productions Productions
The Napa Valley Broadway Playhouse will open its 2012 kickoff season with the Kander & Ebb Masterpiece Cabaret, starring Broadway performer Nikki Snelson., opening at the Napa Valley Opera House on June 22, 2012.
Cabaret features such memorable songs as Wilkommen, Two Ladies, The Money Song and Cabaret.
Tickets are available on the Napa Valley Opera House website www.NVOH.com.
Educational Series Educational Series
The Napa Valley Broadway Playhouse is excited to offer the greater Napa Valley community quality performing arts education programs. Beginning June of 2012 NVBPlayhouse is offering the following workshops. Registration has already begun and class sizes are limited to ensure personal attention from the instructors.
Nikki Snelson and All That Jazz
(June 11 to June 15)
Broadway performer Nikki Snelson (Legally Blonde, Annie Get Your Gun, Sweet Charity) will work on musical theatre techniques and performance with Napa Valley students!

Nikki Jazz 
All That Jazz w/ Nikki Snelson
Best known for originating the role of Brooke in the Broadway Production of LEGALLY BLONDE, Nikki has also been seen on Broadway in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN & SWEET CHARITY as well as the B'Way Tours of SHOW BOAT, A CHORUS LINE and BEAUTY & THE BEAST.
Nikki will be offering Greater Napa Valley Students the opportunity to work with her in a week long Musical Theatre day camp that will include vocal & dance work including original B'way choreography from Productions that she has appeared in.
This workshop series is appropriate for ages 8 to 20 and students will be grouped based on ability and experience.
This week long camp is only $295 and space is limited to ensure personal attention from the instructor.

Dance Workshop So You Think You Can Dance Camp
w/Kherington Payne
Direct from Hollywood Kherrigton Payne is the definition of a professional dancer. She is most recognized as a top ten finalist from television's "So You Think You Can Dance" and has also appeared in the major motion pictures FAME and NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Kherington was also featured in the Ryan Secrest show "The Dance Scene."
Kherington will be offering Greater Napa Valley Students the opportunity of working with her on professional dance routines. Class size is extremely limited to ensure personal collaboration with the instructor. Students with a variety of dance levels are welcome. Ages 8 to 20.

On Camera & Improv. 
"On Camera" and Improvisation Camp
June 25th to 29th
Acting and performing in front of the camera is similar to onstage theatre but is distinctive in technique. Napa Valley Broadway Playhouse "On Camera" and Improvisation Camp is a must for any young student who wants to experience the world of acting on film. Students will learn on-camera acting techniques and receive the first hand experience of making a short film which will be screened on the final day of camp. Students will also discover the fun in Improvisation through games and projects "Second City" style.
This camp is appropriate for students of all levels from ages 8 to 18.
This one week camp is only $295 per student.

Vocal Intensive w-Diego 
Vocal Intensive with Diego Garcia
Experience a one week vocal intensive with the top vocal coach in Northern California, Diego Garcia!
Over the course of this one week session, students will have the opportunity to further understand their vocal instrument in solo and group work as well as deepen their knowledge of voice technique. Students will also work on the process of "acting a song" in true musical theatre style.
Students of all levels of experience are welcome. This workshop is appropriate for students ages 9 and up.
